Denny Cagur Reveals There Are 27 Artists Being Investigated for Alleged Online Gambling Promotion, Has Submitted to the Police

Denny Cagur, a comedian and member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, has recently come under scrutiny after a video allegedly promoting online gambling went viral on social media. In his clarification, Denny stated that there are 27 other celebrities who are also being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Agency of the National Police regarding this allegation. Denny explained that the investigation has been ongoing and he has followed all the established procedures.

"The process has indeed been underway, there were 27 artists at that time due to ignorance. We have all been summoned to Bareskrim, I have come following the rules as a good citizen, I came," said Denny Cagur as reported by detikhot, on Wednesday (6/11).

The controversial video features Denny promoting an online gambling site, referring to it as a viral game. Denny stated that the video was made quite some time ago and he had no intention of promoting gambling.

He fully hands over the legal process to the police and asks the public not to judge without understanding the context that occurred.

"After that, the process continued and now we have handed everything over to the police," Denny stated.

The Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi, urged the public and celebrities to be cautious in promoting anything, especially related to online gambling.
