"I think we are not just talking about religion, but this is about humanity," said Gus Miftah when met in the Bangka area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (29/7/2025) evening.

Furthermore, Gus Miftah highlighted the long-term dangers of this phenomenon. He is concerned that if hatred continues to be allowed to grow, it will become a dark legacy passed down to future generations, damaging the social order that has been painstakingly built. "We must not pass on hatred to our children and grandchildren," he emphasized.

"So I think we need to return to the identity of the Indonesian nation regarding differences, which is Bhinneka Tunggal Ika," he explained.
