"For example, if someone comes to give us a wedding gift of a pair of chickens or ducks. When I lived in Jakarta, I couldn't imagine this 'happy wedding' being a duck (alive). From that, I learned a lot about myself personally, about culture, and how rich Indonesia is," explained Happy Salma.

"At first, because I didn't understand, maybe my partner was relaxed so I got submerged, meaning I had culture shock wherever we adapted. But for me, marriage with anyone definitely requires adaptation. At first, I didn't realize it, but then I became aware of what I wear and what I say," she revealed.

"It turns out that when I got married, I had to practice (customs and traditions), but since then I've become interested in the customs of other regions. So it's not just Bali; I'm interested in exploring other areas. Or even, Sunda, I have come to appreciate what my parents taught me," explains Happy Salma.
