Kapanlagi.com - CAFFEINE is an Indonesian band that has been involved in the music industry since 1996. Recently, this legendary band announced the presence of a new vocalist in their lineup.

The new vocalist is named Chikin Muhammad. Chikin has replaced the previous vocalist and is ready to bring a new color to CAFFEINE in the future, KLovers.

The process of selecting Chikin as the new vocalist for CAFFEINE was certainly very long. Chikin had to go through auditions that were followed by hundreds of potential vocalists. From the hundreds, Chikin was finally chosen as the new vocalist for CAFFEINE, KLovers. It's so cool!

To replace the old vocalist who no longer grows with CAFFEINE, the band held auditions to find a new vocalist.

"We are looking for something new, and out of the 200 online auditions we received, we narrowed it down to 20 candidates," said Beni.

"From those 20, we then narrowed the selection down to 10 people. When they entered the top 5 stage, we decided to continue with a jamming session," added Beni.

2. CAFFEINE Chooses Chikin as the New Vocalist

Beni revealed his reasons for choosing Chikin as the new vocalist of CAFFEINE. According to him, Chikin has a calm demeanor. In addition, Beni considers Chikin to be a singer with potential.

"In the auditions for new vocalists in this era, Chikin finally made it through the audition process and brought a calm and relaxed performance. We saw his potential and felt that he was the right person to fill the position," he said.

Meanwhile, Chikin revealed his experience participating in the vocalist audition for CAFFEINE. Initially, he couldn't imagine being part of the band that is now 26 years old.

"The audition was very exciting. From the beginning, I never imagined that I could make it to the top 20 of this audition. Considering that CAFFEINE is a legendary band that I have known since childhood," said Chikin.

CAFFEINE is an extraordinary experience for me," added Chikin.

In facing the burden of being the vocalist of the famous band CAFFEINE, Chikin admits that initially he felt pressured.

"At first, yes, I was burdened. Who wouldn't feel burdened with the big name of CAFFEINE, especially having to continue its vision in the future, we have to have creative ideas, we have to have something new like what CAFFEINE presents," said Chikin.

"Initially it was a burden. Alhamdulillah, from CAFFEINE itself, we were all like, 'let's build something that can bring freshness in the future'. So from there, it started to be like, 'oh, this is not a burden, this is a task that must be carried out, we create with our hearts'," Chikin concluded.
