The household life of Opie Kumis, who has more than one wife, often attracts public attention. Nevertheless, the 68-year-old comedian has proven that he can maintain the harmony of his family until now.
When asked about the secret to his lasting relationship, Opie emphasized the importance of a relaxed attitude and not being selfish in running a household. According to him, problems will always exist, but the way to address them is what matters.

"What’s important is that we should be a bit relaxed in managing the household, right? A bit relaxed, both parties shouldn’t be selfish. Willing to yield, willing to admit mistakes," said Opie when met in the Mampang area, South Jakarta, on Monday (29/12/2025).
Opie is also not shy to apologize to his wife if he has made a mistake. For him, good communication and mutual understanding are the main keys.
"When we apologize to our wives, it’s not about being shy. It’s okay to apologize. If we are wrong, we apologize. We give understanding and all that, basically it’s all good," he added wisely.
As the year 2026 approaches, Opie admits he does not have grand desires, especially to take another wife. He feels that his life is currently sufficient and balanced.
His main focus now is the health and happiness of all his family members. "If it were up to me, I actually don't want to add another wife anymore. That's enough. Hopefully, I always pray that I stay healthy, my wives are healthy, my children are healthy, and my grandchildren are healthy," he hopes.
Besides family, Opie is also thinking about his charitable contributions. He is known to assist a Quran memorization boarding school in Cimande, which now has many students."We continue to support that for our charity, our charitable deeds," concluded Opie Kumis.
Opie Kumis once had four wives in his life. However, one passed away and another separated due to divorce. Now he has two wives who live in harmony and peace at the age of 68.
