"Today we are going to Bali. Because we want to have a pre-wedding and also want to go to the venue and arrange for the wedding permission at the Office of Religious Affairs," said Venna Melinda at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, East Jakarta, on Monday (24/1).

"We have to visit my mother's relatives. So we can also have a gathering and finish all the preparations in Bali," added Ferry Irawan.

1. Seeking Family's Blessings

In addition to arranging their wedding, Venna Melinda's purpose of going to Bali is also to seek her mother's and family's blessings. She also wants to introduce her future husband to her extended family.

"Yes, I will meet my mother's family in Bali, there are so many of them. Even though I am a Muslim, we still need to seek blessings from our family. Ferry will become a member of the family, so he needs to get to know our relatives," said Venna Melinda.

2. Hometown Village

As known, Bali itself is Venna Melinda's hometown because her mother is originally from Bali. Besides meeting with extended family, Venna Melinda and Ferry Irawan will also have a prewedding photoshoot in Bali.

"Yes (Bali) is really my hometown because I am half Balinese. My mother is a native Balinese. That's why for the wedding ceremony, I will wear a Balinese kebaya and for the prewedding, we will wear classic Balinese attire. So, we really have to do the fittings," she explained.

3. Prewedding Photoshoot in Ubud

During their one-week stay in Bali, Venna Melinda and Ferry Irawan were quite busy with various agendas. Starting from meeting with extended family, arranging marriage permits at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA), surveying venues, and having a prewedding photoshoot in Ubud.

"We will return on January 29th. On the first day, we will visit our family in Denpasar and then have a prewedding photoshoot in Ubud for two days. Then, we will go to Medewi for the wedding ceremony. Since we are getting married in Bali, we have to go to the KUA and also visit Tabanan, which is my mother's place. We will return to Denpasar again before going back because we have a lot of relatives here. I am Balinese," she explained.

4. Dream of Getting Married in Bali

Verrell Bramasta's mother said that getting married in Bali has been her long-time dream. Finally, she can fulfill her dream of getting married in Bali with Ferry Irawan.

"Yes, at the same time, the first prewedding in Ubud while the wedding venue in Medewi is quite far from Ubud, it's still a two-hour drive. Because I am from Bali, my dream has always been to get married in Medewi. If we do the prewedding, it's also a good opportunity to survey the place," Venna Melinda concluded.

5. Getting Married in March

The relationship between Venna Melinda and Ferry Irawan is entering a new phase. They plan to get married in Bali in March 2022.

"Insha Allah, it will be in March, but we can't give the exact date yet because we still need to consider our parents and extended families. Please pray that the wedding goes smoothly and lasts, we can't take it lightly," said Venna when met in Cilandak, South Jakarta, on Monday (17/1).
