Hengky Solaiman Reportedly Needs Emergency Assistance after Surgery, Verdi Solaiman Speaks about His Father's Condition

Kapanlagi.com - Senior actor Hengky Solaiman is said to be in need of emergency assistance some time ago. The news first surfaced from a tweet by a Twitter user (18/3). Hengky is said to be in need of assistance in the form of blood donors after undergoing surgery.

In response to this, Hengky's son, Verdi Solaiman, finally spoke up. Verdi confirmed that his father has just undergone surgery.

"So yesterday he had surgery, and the surgery can be considered successful. However, the connection of his intestines is at risk because his hemoglobin levels have dropped. Because even before the surgery, his hemoglobin levels were not high. One of the concerns is that there might be a blood shortage," he said when contacted by phone on Thursday (19/3).

1. Unstable Condition

The operation that Hengky Solaiman just underwent was tumor removal. Verdi mentioned that his father's condition is still not fully good because he often experiences changes in blood pressure.

"The tumor was removed. His blood pressure dropped, then it went up, then dropped again. Let's just pray for it to keep going up,"

Verdi continued, actually Hengky Solaiman's condition was initially stable after the operation. However, sudden bleeding occurred and he had to continue receiving blood transfusions.

"It was stable last night, but his hemoglobin is still low, so he still needs blood transfusions. Then suddenly there was bleeding, maybe it seems like the connection of his intestines opened after the tumor was removed. That's why he's currently in the ICU, receiving continuous donations," explained the 45-year-old man.

2. Insufficient Blood Stock

Hengky Solaiman's current condition still requires him to continue receiving AB blood transfusions. Unfortunately, the stock availability is still not sufficient even though Verdi himself has donated his blood.

"Yesterday, there were only two bags left. Yesterday, I donated three bags, but it's still not enough. AB blood is needed because there are very few people with AB blood," he said.

3. Seeking Donor Assistance

Various parties are continuing to make efforts to ensure that the required blood type AB for Hengky Solaiman is sufficient. Several volunteers have also confirmed that they will donate their blood.

"We are currently coordinating, some want to coordinate with the central PMI (Indonesian Red Cross), because all coordination is done centrally. So we have a referral letter, it has been prepared for five people, so far two have agreed. We are still searching for others who can," Verdi concluded.
