In her interview, Vina emphasized that her decision was not influenced by any external parties.
"My withdrawal from the top 16 of MUID 2024 is not due to any intervention from any party. I feel it would be much better for me to step down for the sake of my career and the works I will create," she stated in a text message, as reported by detikpop, on Sunday (15/9/2024).
Vina explained that she wants to focus on developing her career and exploring her talents more broadly without being tied to beauty contests. "If I am in MUID 2024, I think it will be difficult for me to continue exploring the talents that I have," she said.
One of the main reasons Vina stepped back is the difference in vision and mission between herself and the contract proposed for this year, which she considers not aligned with what she hopes for. "This year's contract is different. I feel there are other ways to empower women in Indonesia that are more in line with my mission," she explained.
Although this decision may disappoint some fans, Vina stated that she is ready to face any comments, both positive and negative, from the public. She hopes that everyone can respect her decision and continue to live peacefully.
"There will certainly be pros and cons, but right now I will only focus on myself and my loved ones who always support me in every step and decision I make," he explained.
