His Dream Grave Becomes a Football Player, El Rumi Becomes President of Liga 2 Club

Kapanlagi.com - It is well known that El Rumi, the son of musician Ahmad Dhani and Maia Estianty, has been interested in the world of football since he was young. In fact, he was so interested that he once aspired to become a professional football player. However, his dream was not realized and he chose to pursue music instead.

The younger brother of Al Ghazali and Dul Jaelani admitted that he has buried his dream of becoming a professional footballer. But, at least he can fulfill his interest in the world of football by becoming the President of Nusantara FC Club.

"Well, it's too late to become a player, at the age of 24 it's not too serious either. Maybe the best I can do is become a club president. This is a new experience," said El Rumi in Fatmawati, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (15/8/2023).

"It will be very exciting for me, for my siblings, and certainly for the team which consists of young players. So, I am quite optimistic about taking this team further," he added.

1. Feeling Honored

El admits feeling honored to have been trusted to become the president of the football club currently in the Indonesian league 2. According to him, this is an enjoyable and proud opportunity.

"I used to have a desire to be a football player. But because it didn't happen, I became a musician. Finally, I achieved it in football by becoming the president," he said.

2. Not Feeling Difficulties

Although the job as a club president is quite challenging, El Rumi himself does not feel difficulties in managing his time with his music career. According to him, the tasks involved are also different in pursuing both fields.

"In football, you dive into the management, so you just need to allocate time and thoughts, not too much. In music, we have to dive in and play directly. In football, we can manage our time more," he said.

"This is a new experience in my life and attended by my mother as a witness. I am happy that my mother came to support her child," El Rumi concluded.
