Hobby of Assembling Gunpla for Years, Ariel NOAH Just Found Out That There's a Competition - Hoping to Still Participate

Similarly, Ariel NOAH has a hobby of filling his leisure time. Apart from his activities as a well-known musician in the country, Ariel NOAH apparently has a hobby of assembling Gundam Plastic Model Kits, also known as Gunpla.

For years, Ariel NOAH has been immersed in his hobby of assembling Gunpla, and he just found out that there is also a Gunpla assembly competition in Indonesia. He is very interested in participating, KLovers!

1. Interested in Joining the Gunpla Competition

Ariel NOAH is so enthusiastic to know that there is a competition for his hobby of assembling gunplas. In fact, there is a Gunpla Builders World Cup 11th Tournament in Indonesia itself. This makes Ariel so interested and wants to participate.

"Honestly, when I found out that there is a championship here and the trophy is so good, I want to join," said Ariel at Mall Taman Anggrek Jakarta Barat on Friday (13/10/2023).

"I think it's really good and that's one of the reasons why I'm here," continued the singer of the song Separuh Aku.

Ariel also expressed his curiosity about his age, which has reached over forty, whether he can still participate in the competition or not.

"Can I still participate in my forties?" he said while laughing.

2. Thought it was for Introverts

Building Gunpla as a hobby, Ariel used to think that this hobby was an activity for introverts because it takes hours to do it alone. However, his perspective changed after knowing that this hobby has a community and competitions.

"I'm happy with events like this because I assumed that people who like building Gunpla are introverts," he said.

"If there's a community like this, I thought it was just for introverts, but there are many friends, especially from these competitions, and being able to go abroad is great," he explained.

3. Gunpla Builders World Cup (GBWC)

Gunpla Builders World Cup (GBWC) has now entered its 11th year of implementation in Indonesia, KLovers. In 2023, a total of 100 entries have been received for exhibition and competition. These works come from various regions in Indonesia.

Erik Thianto, as the representative of Multi Toys and the official Gunpla licensee in Indonesia, revealed that the number of people interested in Gunpla may increase.

"Yes, the enthusiasm of Gundam lovers and hobbyists to submit their works is growing. We already have 100 works to be exhibited, and there may be more," he concluded.
