If Absent Three Times as a Witness in Wawan's Trial, Jennifer Dunn Will Be Forced to Appear

Kapanlagi.com - The trial of the money laundering case involving Tubagus Chaeril Wardana alias Wawan was held on Monday (9/3/2020) with the agenda of hearing witness testimonies. There were nine people who were supposed to attend, some of them are public figures.

Aima Diaz was the only artist who attended. Jennifer Dunn did not attend due to illness. Meanwhile, other artists such as Irwansyah, Catherine Wilson, and Rebecca did not come without explanation.

"Jennifer Dunn said she is sick. As for the other witnesses, no reasons were given," said Budi Nugraha, the KPK prosecutor when met at the Central Jakarta Corruption Court.

1. Can be Forced to be Called

It is said that Jennifer Dunn will be called back as a witness on Thursday (12/3/2020) tomorrow. If she fails to answer the call three times, she will be forcibly summoned.

"She will be called on Thursday, she should come. If she fails to answer the call three times, we can summon her forcibly," explained Budi.

2. Defendant of Corruption and Money Laundering

Tubagus Chaeril Wardana, also known as Wawan, is the younger brother of former Governor of Banten, Ratu Atut Chosiyah. As known, Wawan is accused of corruption in the health equipment sector and money laundering.

The funds from the money laundering were used to purchase dozens of cars. Although some of the cars have been resold by the recipients, the proceeds from the sales were confiscated by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) as evidence of the crime.
