There, Atta asked El Rumi to choose between dating someone of a different religion or from the same background. And El Rumi's answer was quite surprising. He chose to date someone from a different religion and background at the same time.

As a mother, Maia Estianty has her own understanding about it. Maia herself prefers to stand in the middle, not prohibiting, not approving, but rather leaving the decision to her children. 

"I have my own understanding. Maybe this is a sensitive issue when we talk about religion. So I am a moderate person," said Maia Estianty quoted from Atta Halilintar's youtube not long ago. 

2. Don't Want to Discuss Too Far

Maia herself doesn't want to reveal too much about her understanding. Because once again she emphasizes that everyone has different thoughts. 

"This becomes a discussion about religion. Because everyone's understanding is different," said the mother of three children.
