Presenter Indra Bekti has been undergoing routine health checks since suffering a burst blood vessel at the end of 2022. This incident required him to have a tube placed in his head to help drain the accumulated fluid. This tube has become an important part of his daily life for the past two years. "I have been routinely visiting Abdi Waluyo for check-ups for almost 2 years. I check my health condition after having the tube placed in my head. This tube functions to drain fluid from my head, kind of like a lifelong therapy," said Indra Bekti at Abdi Waluyo Hospital, Central Jakarta, Monday (23/12/2024).
This husband of Aldila Jelita is grateful to hear good news from the doctor that his condition is stable. However, he is still waiting for the MRI results to ensure there are no changes in the position of the tube that has been placed in his head. "The doctor checked earlier, thank God everything is fine. Now we just have to wait for the MRI results to see if there are any changes in the position of the tube or not," he said.
Now, Bekti feels that his condition is getting better. The tube that was placed is working effectively by draining fluid through his body's mechanisms. This condition allows him to return to actively working in the entertainment industry with renewed enthusiasm.
"Now my condition is getting better. The tube is draining fluid from my head through the body's mechanisms, including through urine. Thank God, I can work better now," he stated.
However, the early post-operative period was a major challenge for him. Bekti admitted that he had difficulty speaking and often lost concentration. Over time, his condition improved, and eventually, he was able to return to his normal life. "In the early days after the tube was installed, I often spaced out and couldn't talk. Gradually, the fluid that was bothering my head disappeared, and I could return to normal. The doctor said my condition is now 100 percent recovered," he said.
Bekti welcomed the year 2025 with hope that his health would continue to be maintained. He does not want the bad experience at the end of 2022, which happened right on his birthday, to happen again. "Definitely in 2025, I want to be healthier. I don't want the incident at the end of 2022 to happen again. That was on my birthday, December 28," he concluded.
