Insanul Fahmi Says His Marriage to Wardatina Mawa Has Never Been Harmonious

The marriage between Insanul Fahmi and Wardatina Mawa which has lasted for seven years, turns out to hold a lot of sorrow. Insanul revealed that since the beginning of their marriage, their relationship has often been colored by conflicts due to a lack of in-depth acquaintance.

Insanul explained that they both got married through the ta'aruf process, so he did not truly understand Mawa's original characteristics before building a household. He initially thought that conflicts at the beginning of the marriage were normal, but it turned out to continue until the seventh year.

"I never actually dated Mawa. My relationship with Mawa was through a formal introduction. So I don’t really understand her characteristics. However, since the very beginning of our marriage, there have often been conflicts," said Insanul Fahmi when met in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta, Saturday (20/12/2015).

He feels that his opinions as a husband are rarely heard by Mawa. Even for trivial matters, there are often long debates that never find a solution, which gradually erodes his feelings of love.

"I just think, why has it been 5 years and there are still conflicts? Why don’t I get heard when I speak? That’s what slowly erodes my feelings. It’s not like this happened and then everything changed, no. That’s what makes me feel exhausted," he explained.

Insanul gave an example of one of the conflicts that went viral, which was about Mawa being forbidden to attend college. According to him, he was not completely prohibiting it, but he just wanted Mawa to focus on her main responsibilities as a wife before taking on other activities.

"At that time she wanted to go to college, I said, 'Don't go to college if your main responsibilities aren't finished.' I also want to, I also did in the past, but lately in the last year, if Mawa wants to do facial treatments, she accompanies me," he revealed.

For him, happiness in a marriage is greatly influenced by good communication between husband and wife. Insanul regrets that the ta'aruf process they went through does not guarantee harmony because of the very sharp differences in character.

"What is the characteristic like, I consider it just the household spices. But why... they say that in the first 5 years there will definitely be conflicts, that’s normal. I just think, why is it that it has been over 5 years and there are still conflicts," concluded Insanul.
