International Women's Day, Hannah Al Rashid Highlights Harassment at Shooting Location

Among those who participated in Women's March Jakarta is actress Hannah Al Rashid. The star of the movie RATU ILMU HITAM regularly joins the event. This is Hannah's fourth year participating in Women's March Jakarta.

The handwritten banner brought by Hannah reads: 'The most ideal shooting location? No mosquitoes, no cockroaches, no men with wandering hands #STOPdefendingTHEM START Protecting Us #SinematikGakHarusToxic'. So, when participating in this march, Hannah wants to defend women who often receive inappropriate treatment while on set. Hannah wants to be a representative for female art workers this time.

"This year, I want to highlight harassment on set because it happens too often and too often it just gets ignored and pushed under the carpet. I am committed to working towards changing this, in whatever capacity that I can," Hannah writes.

2. Message from Hannah Al Rashid

In her long caption, Hannah also delivers a message to fellow cinematic workers who have experienced unpleasant treatment. She also talks about the people who commit such harassment.

"To friends in the film industry who have experienced harassment on shooting locations, we are here for you. To predators in this industry, read carefully because we are watching you. Let's fight together. Love and solidarity to you all," she writes.
