In an official announcement from the management, it is stated that all of Chika's activities will be suspended so that the idol can reflect on her actions. Not half-hearted, Chika will be suspended for a full 2 months.

"Regarding Yessica Tamara's photos circulating on social media a few days ago, she has explained everything that happened honestly to the management. After receiving the explanation, Yessica Tamara's lack of self-awareness as a member of JKT48 has caused many parties to be disturbed and disappointed," wrote the JKT48 Operation Team in an official announcement uploaded on the JKT48 website, Wednesday (25/8).

"Therefore, we have decided to suspend Yessica Tamara's activities as a member of JKT48 until the end of October 2021. During the suspension, she will not appear in public stages such as theaters, events, media, and the like. During this period, we hope that she can do things that can make her reflect on herself and engage in activities with the appropriate awareness and sense of responsibility. We appreciate your understanding and thank you," the management concluded.

This dating scandal has caused quite a stir among fans, considering that Chika is one of the JKT48 members with a considerable number of fans. As known, JKT48 personnel are required to always be dedicated and focused on their career as idols and not engage in dating.

Because a member's scandal not only affects the individual involved but also the entire team. It is said that the existence and support for JKT48 as a whole can decline if fans feel disappointed.

Therefore, in addition to the announcement from the management, Chika herself also uploaded a short video apologizing for her actions.

"Regarding the photo that circulated a few days ago, I have spoken and explained everything to the management. Yes, it is true that it is me in the photo. With incidents like this, there have been many disturbances among fans. And I am sorry and apologize greatly to all of you. Especially, I want to apologize to my fans who have supported me sincerely. In addition to the apology video, Chika also wrote a letter that she called an expression of her inner thoughts. This typed letter in the form of a photo was uploaded by Chika on her Twitter account, @Y_ChikaJKT48.

Still the same as the content of her video, Chika specifically apologizes to fans and fellow JKT48 members for her actions. She also admits that she is ready to bear all the risks that she must face.

"Good evening... How are you, are you healthy? Before anything else, I want to apologize to all of you, I'm sorry for disappointing you, sorry for making you worry, sorry for erasing your trust in me, sorry for causing trouble. I also apologize to the other members who were involved in my issues, this is all my fault," wrote Chika.

"Thank you so much to all of you who have sincerely supported me, thank you for still being here with me... I love you all. Once again, I deeply regret my carelessness and lack of self-awareness as a member of JKT48. I will try and take responsibility for my mistakes, I am ready to accept whatever decision the management gives me. Once again, I am sorry and apologize. Thank you very much," she concluded.
