Iqbaal Ramadhan Admits Having a Fear of Heights While Filming a Scene of Jumping from a Building's Rooftop

Kapanlagi.com - Iqbaal Ramadhan has been cast as one of the actors in the film titled MENCURI RADEN SALEH. In this action heist genre, he plays the character of a student named Piko who has the ability to replicate paintings.

There is a scene that requires Iqbaal to jump from the roof of one building to another. Interestingly, this action was performed directly by the Surabaya-born young man.

"I have a scene where I run on the roof of a building. The scene was already in the script, but I didn't imagine that I would jump from the sixth floor," said Iqbal, who was met at Metropole XXI, Megaria area, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (29/6/2022).

Before filming the scene, director Angga Dwimas Sasongko had asked Iqbaal Ramadhan for permission. Because the actor agreed, Angga began designing everything.

"When I was about to make that scene, I talked to Iqbaal in my room. I said I wanted to make a scene where Piko runs and then jumps from one building to another. He was okay with it," explained Angga on the same occasion.

2. Admits Having a Fear of Heights

Interestingly, when the day of shooting arrived, Angga Dwimas Sasongko only found out that Iqbaal Ramadhan had a fear of heights. Thanks to trust, Iqbaal was able to perform the scene that had been agreed upon beforehand.

"During the execution, he only said he had a fear of heights. But in the relationship between the director and the actor, there must be trust, so he trusted me and I trusted him, and we set everything up for safety," explained Angga.

"I am afraid of heights, but no matter what, I am the one who is asked to do it, so the show must go on and Alhamdulillah, it succeeded," added Iqbaal.

3. Training with a Body Double

Although doing it live, Angga Dwimas Sasongko still provided safety for Iqbaal Ramadhan. Before shooting, a body double jumped first, and then the person directed Iqbaal to do it safely.

"We have a body double. He tries it first, then Iqbal does it, there must be an example first for safety. So Iqbal was trained by this body double, then he followed. The shooting was fast, only four hours," concluded Angga.
