Iqbaal Ramadhan Speaks Up About His New Song and Music Video that Netizens Mocked

Kapanlagi.com - BAALE or better known as Iqbaal Ramadhan has become a hot topic among netizens on social media. His three new singles, namely Cinta Luka Sempurna, Fortuna, and Di Bawah Lampu, along with their music videos, were mocked by netizens.

The former member of CJR was criticized for the genre of music he played, which was deemed inappropriate. Regarding the criticism, Iqbaal spoke up. Iqbaal said that from the beginning of creating his work, he was prepared for the consequences. What matters, according to Iqbaal, is that he creates honestly.

"Yes, from the beginning of making this, I just wanted to be honest and I knew whatever consequences and responses would come, what's important is that I can convey this honestly, in a good way," said Iqbaal when met at Senayan Park, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (29/4).

"And hopefully, the spirit of honesty can be captured, like creating something honest, not always like 'oh this one is going viral,' we don't always have to do that," added Iqbaal.

1. Criticism from Netizens as Part of the Music-Making Process

Iqbaal revealed that criticism from netizens motivated him to form the character BAALE. According to him, BAALE would not have been formed without criticism from netizens.

"Well, for me, first and foremost, it's something that can shape BAALE. BAALE wouldn't exist without criticism and input," said Iqbaal.

The star of the movie DILAN 1990 mentioned that criticism from netizens is one of the parts of his music-making process under the name BAALE. "It has become an inevitable process, and I am ready and appreciate anyone who wants to listen to or watch my works," said Iqbaal.

"I don't create sensations and scandalous news, I don't create scandals. What I offer is just honest work at the age of 24," added Iqbaal.

2. Netizens' Criticism Issue

Furthermore, Iqbaal himself doesn't really mind if there are people who don't like his latest work. In fact, Iqbaal doesn't feel hurt when netizens criticize him after presenting his latest work.

"If there are people who like it, alhamdulillah, if there are people who don't like it, it's okay, just skip it. Maybe there's no need to insult. But for me, I appreciate anyone, because that's what will build BAALE," said Iqbaal.

"No. That's already in the past. Like I said earlier, BAALE taught me to become a whole person again," concluded Iqbaal.

With the name BAALE, Iqbaal has just released his debut album titled FORTUNA. Through this album, BAALE will also hold a tour in several cities in Sumatra Island starting from July 6, 2024.
