1. Playing as Bona

In the film MONSTER HAIR FACTORY, Iqbaal Ramadhan will play the role of Bona. In a press conference held in the Jatinegara area of East Jakarta on Monday (18/11/24), Iqbaal revealed that the character he plays now is different from the roles he has played before.

"The character of Bona that has been entrusted to me in this project has never been given before. It may have a character that is far from what Iqbaal's previous roles might be. Like appearance, emotion, acting ability, and also physically," said Iqbaal Ramadhan, who plays Bona in the film MONSTER HAIR FACTORY.

2. Challenges as an Executive Producer

In addition to playing one of the characters in the horror film, Iqbaal also participated as an Executive Producer. Interestingly, he and Dian Sastrowardoyo will be the executive producers for this fantasy horror film.

On that occasion, Iqbaal also expressed the differences and challenges he faced while being an executive producer compared to acting as an actor.

"As an Executive Producer, I have more capacity and space to be involved in the behind-the-scenes process. So how we convey the message as well and as close as possible to the audience," said Iqbaal Ramadhan.

3. Reasons for Adding Fantasy Elements

In the press conference for the release of the title and cast of the film MONSTER HAIR FACTORY, Iqbaal also revealed the reasons for adding fantasy elements to the horror film. According to him, he wants to make MONSTER HAIR FACTORY an unusual horror film.

"The horror genre is perhaps one of the most popular genres, often producing horror films. Here we are trying to create a film with a horror genre but, with fantasy elements so that it can create a quiz and a new and non-monotonous viewing experience," he added.

The film MONSTER HAIR FACTORY is still in the production stage shooting at the National Film Production Studio (PFN), East Jakarta. The fantasy horror film is planned to be released in 2025.
