Jeff Smith Uses LSD Drugs, Hallucinating When Arrested

Kapanlagi.com - The police arrested actor Jeff Smith in connection with a drug abuse case on Wednesday (8/12/2021). Jakarta Metro Police Public Relations Director Kombes Pol. Endra Zulpan said Jeff was arrested at his residence in the Depok area around 18:30 WIB.

During the arrest, the police seized evidence of Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) drugs. Even when arrested, Jeff was said to be in a hallucinating state.

"When he was arrested, he had just used it. There are still 2 sheets left. When he was examined, his urine test was clear and he was under the influence, hallucinating," said Zulpan at Jakarta Metro Police on Thursday (9/12/2021).

In his statement to the police, Jeff revealed his reasons for using LSD. He claimed that he used the drug to help him avoid getting tired easily and to stay focused on his work.

"The reason he mentioned is because as an actor in soap operas, he wants to avoid getting tired and stay focused on his work," said Zulpan.

According to Zulpan, Jeff Smith's excuses are made up. This is because the effects of LSD cause hallucinations. "There you have it. It's hallucination," he said.

2. New Dangerous Narcotic

According to Zulpan, LSD is a new dangerous narcotic that is harmful to health. Therefore, LSD is classified as a type one narcotic. LSD is highly sought after because of its easy use and the similar effects it produces compared to other narcotics.

"This is a new type of narcotic that is highly sought after by addicts because of its easy and simple use, it doesn't require any tools like a bong or anything. Just place it on the tongue while the effects it produces are similar to other narcotics," said Zulpan.

3. Consuming 4 Sheets of LSD in a Day

To the police, Jeff admitted how often he consumed LSD in a day.

"His confession is that he takes four sheets of LSD in a day. He recently ordered 50 sheets. If in the market, each sheet costs around Rp500,000," he said.

4. Caught for the Second Time

This arrest is the second time for Jeff Smith. Previously, he was arrested by the West Jakarta Metropolitan Police Narcotics Unit in April 2021 for the abuse of marijuana.

Jeff himself was recently released about 3 months ago regarding that case. Unfortunately, now he has to deal with the law again for a similar case.

Apparently, the news of Jeff's re-arrest for drug use is not known by his family. This was conveyed by Aldi Surya Kusumah, who in the previous case was Jeff Smith's legal representative.

"I haven't contacted his family yet (for information)," said Aldi Surya Kusumah when contacted by the media on Wednesday (8/12) night.

Aldi Surya Kusumah admitted to being surprised when he heard that his former client fell into the same hole again. He is still trying to find out the truth until now.

"Is it true? I'm also confirming. I'll try to communicate, because I haven't held the power of attorney yet, is it still with the police?" he said, wanting to contact the police.
