"We didn't expect it because Radit himself was still fully conscious when he was first in the ICU, and it was only when he was put on a ventilator that he was sedated. Because the doctor said there were things that needed to be checked before he was put on a ventilator," said Andru, Radit's brother, when met at RSPAD, Gatot Subtoto, Senen, Central Jakarta, early Friday morning (7/5).

"He has had asthma for a long time. It's hereditary and has been present since birth. After getting Covid, his asthma is what made him collapse," Andru added.

After Radit's departure, Andru said that Joanna started to appear strong in facing the reality of her husband's departure. Previously, Joanna had hoped for the recovery of her beloved person.

"She (Joanna) was devastated, but she kept praying for Radit's recovery even though the reality is different now. But Joanna looked strong," he concluded.

Previously, Joanna Alexandra and several family members, including her husband, were declared positive for Covid-19 and isolated at Wisma Atlet. At that time, Radit had to be transferred to another hospital for further treatment due to his poor condition.
