Presenter Komo Ricky and his wife Brina Bafagih Vanderhoeven are currently happy as they have just been blessed with their first child after four years of waiting.
“Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah), my wife and I are finally blessed by Allah after four years of marriage,” said Komo Ricky during a press conference at Bunda Margonda Hospital, Depok, on Friday (11/6).
Brina Bafagih Vanderhoeven gave birth to a baby girl through a caesarean section on June 9, 2021. Initially, Indra Bekti's sister-in-law intended to give birth naturally, but due to difficulty in breathing, a caesarean delivery was performed.
"At first, I was really sure it would be normal. But it turns out that Allah has a different plan. There wasn't actually a serious problem with the respiratory system, but it felt like the baby was kicking the diaphragm too much. Because I had a history of cyst and had experienced false contractions which were very painful. Finally, with the support of my husband and sister, I decided to take the best path for the baby," she said.
Komo Ricky also explained the meaning of his baby daughter's name, which turned out to be quite unique and beautiful.
"Her name is Summer Chalona Brunella Delrey. It means a loving and hardworking child who is also a bringer of fortune, beautiful, sympathetic, and easy to adapt. Brina likes an artist named Lana Del Rey. And I have Copa Del Rey in my name. So we created a new family name, Del Rey," concluded Komo Ricky.
