Junior Roberts Shares Filming Experience in Japan, Cold Weather Makes Hands Numb

"Actually, it was really shocking because I had been to Japan before, but the weather in Japan at that time wasn't as cold, not as bad as the cold I experienced while shooting this," said Junior Roberts at the KlikFilm showcase event at XXI Epicentrum, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Friday (7/2/2025).

Junior Roberts admitted that even though he wore three to four layers of clothing, he still felt cold. In fact, the extremely cold temperature made his hands and feet numb.  

"Because it was really cold, I had already worn three to four layers of clothes and still felt cold, even my hands and feet went numb," he said.

According to him, the temperature at the shooting location during the day ranged from 1 to 2 degrees Celsius, while at night it could drop below zero.   "It feels like (the temperature) is around 2 (degrees) to 1 (degree). At night it can go below zero, it is that cold," he added.

In addition to 'Berebut Jenazah', the showcase event also introduced 18 other films that will be released on KlikFilm throughout this year. Frederica, the Director of KlikFilm and Executive Director of Jakarta World Cinema, expressed her enthusiasm for the lineup of films that will be released.

"We are very excited about this competition because it provides an opportunity for young and talented filmmakers in Indonesia to showcase their creativity," said Frederica.

Some of the films introduced in this showcase include The Phone That Never Rang, What Remains is Only Love, Mother's Secret Room, Mama's Boyfriend, Prayers Above the Head, Before Dusk Ends, and The Last Journey.

In addition, there are also The Killer Teacher, Gamophobia, A Sarong for Father, Heaven at Father's Feet, The Last Road, The Mystery of the Matchbox, Drunken Monster, The Perfect Family Dream, and Earth of Man “Extended”.
