[KALEIDOSCOPE 2023] - Sheila On 7 Chosen as Music Newsmaker of the Year, Popular Among All Generations

Once on hiatus during the pandemic, Sheila On 7 finally made a comeback in 2022. And interestingly, there was a personnel change in the band that has been formed since 1996. Brian, who had to leave in 2022, was replaced by Bounty Ramadhan.

Although there was a personnel change, it seems that Sheila did not lose its magic. It is proven that several times during the concerts in 2023, Sheila managed to captivate Sheila Gank with their performances.

In early 2023, Sheila held a solo concert titled Tunggu Aku in Jakarta, which took place at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. In this concert, thousands of spectators filled the venue. Even some local celebrities also attended this concert.

It's no secret that many celebrities idolize Duta and his band. Just mention Raisa and Nia Ramadhani. The romantic songs created by Sheila make these celebrities fall in love with the band.

Sheila On 7 is becoming a hot topic when they replaced the British band 1975 at We The Fest. Matty Healy, the vocalist who encountered problems, caused the band that was supposed to perform at We The Fest to be canceled. 

Although requested suddenly by the We The Fest organizers, Sheila happily performed to entertain the audience who were present that night. The disappointment of the canceled performance by 1975 was replaced with satisfaction after watching Sheila On 7. 

A touching moment was also seen when Sheila On 7 held a concert in Yogyakarta in May 2023. Former guitarist, Saktia Ari Seno or Sakti, returned to perform with Duta, Eross, and Adam. This reunion moment touched the audience. 

From all of Sheila On 7's achievements from the beginning of the year until the end of 2023, it's not wrong if Sheila becomes a musician who is so loved by music enthusiasts, even across generations.
