Karina Ranau Cries While Embracing Epy Kusnandar's Grave 'PREMAN PENSIUN'

A somber atmosphere enveloped the funeral procession of senior actor Epy Kusnandar, who played Kang Mus in PREMAN PENSIUN, at the Jeruk Purut Public Cemetery (TPU), South Jakarta, Thursday (04/12/2025). The Jakarta sky seemed to mourn alongside the departure of a figure so dearly loved by family and fans of Indonesian soap operas.

The actor who portrayed Kang Mus in the Preman Pensiun series was reported to have passed away on Wednesday (3/12/2025). Epy took his last breath after undergoing intensive care at the National Brain Center Hospital (PON), Cawang, Jakarta, due to an illness he suffered from.

Tens of mourners consisting of family, relatives, and fellow artists from Preman Pensiun filled the cemetery area. Uncontrollable sobs were heard as the actor's body began to merge with the earth.

Epy's beloved wife, Karina Ranau, was the most affected person during that moment. With swollen eyes, the woman who had faithfully accompanied Epy for 22 years could not hold back her sadness while sprinkling flowers on the grave.

While hugging the still-wet mound of earth at the grave, Karina poured out her heart. She whispered farewell words that pierced the hearts of the mourners who witnessed it.

"Goodbye, daddy, love you so much. Please don't change, okay?" she said when met at TPU Jeruk Purut, South Jakarta, Thursday (04/12/2025).

Karina expressed how much she has lost the figure of her husband, who has always been her confidant. Epy was not just a husband, but the most loyal storytelling companion.

"Daddy, Mommy doesn't know who else to tell this to. Mommy has always shared everything with you," Karina said in between her tears.

For Karina, Epy Kusnandar was the best and irreplaceable listener. Losing Epy makes her feel confused about who to turn to in the days ahead.

"Mommy is confused about who to share with. Daddy is the best listener for Mommy. Whatever Mommy tells, Daddy always listens. Daddy has been so good to Mommy," she continued with a hoarse voice.

Karina's increasingly hysterical condition and refusal to leave the grave forced the family to intervene. Finally, relatives decided to wake her up and carry Karina away from the tomb to help her calm down.
