Kartika Putri Reveals Reasons for Conversion, Once Dreamed of Dying in a Mini Dress

Kapanlagi.com - Kartika Putri and her husband, Habib Usman bin Yahya, have recently become guests on Andhika Pratama and Ussy Sulistiawaty's latest YouTube video. Talking about many things, Kartika also answered questions about the differences between her before and after conversion.

"Before, when everything that stuck to you brought happiness at that time, for the old Kartika. With the new Kartika, there must be a different kind of happiness, what is the difference in happiness between then and now?" asked Andhika Pratama.

Kartika Putri admitted that the difference is drastic because she used to be so happy when her appearance was praised by others. This is where Kartika finally shared the story behind her decision to convert.

"When I wanted to sleep, rest, my turning point was actually when I migrated, it was when I couldn't sleep for 7 days, at that time it was over, in the old days. Then suddenly I felt troubled, couldn't sleep for 7 days, I said, 'Alhamdulillah, Allah gave me sustenance, my parents still support me. My parents are complete and healthy, there is no reason to be sad, but why am I not happy? I feel empty'," expressed Kartika Putri.

She continued, "Finally, because I gave up, I listened to the Quran again and fell asleep. At that time, I dreamt that I died, died wearing the dress that I wore. And I have that dress, my favorite black dress (sleeveless mini dress). Suddenly, I could see my own corpse, and my family only contacted other people, informing them that I died and took pictures, but didn't cover it up."

2. Happiness in Simple Things

Feeling ashamed to see herself die wearing a mini dress, Kartika finally decided to wear a hijab. "During my conversion, I learned the knowledge, I knew the reasons why women should be covered. Actually, Allah honors women, but only for their husbands. Where if anything happens, it won't be a sin for others, and so on," explained Kartika.

Now Kartika realizes that the happiness she feels now is something she never felt before. She is always grateful for even the simplest things, and she feels happy and never stressed.
