1. Katon Bagaskara's House Flooded

Katon Bagaskara uploaded a video showing the condition of his house that was hit by severe flooding. He shared the video through his personal Instagram account on Thursday (08/05/2025).

"This is the view of my house this afternoon, located in the Sinabung Complex, Senayan, Kebayoran Baru, which is really prone to flooding when it rains heavily and for a long time," wrote Katon Bagaskara in the caption of his video. This statement indicates that the flooding in his house is not a new occurrence.

2. Complaining About the Flood-Prone Condition of the House

Through the video, Katon Bagaskara complained about the sources of the flood coming from two different directions. Water entered from the Grogol River located behind the house and from the complex drainage that can no longer channel the water.

"Water is coming in from the Grogol River behind the house which is already full & the complex drainage can no longer channel water to the river," he wrote.

3. Water from the River and Drains Overflowing into the House

According to Katon Bagaskara, the overflowing water from the river and the clogged drains are a combination of causes for the flooding in his house. He explained that water not only entered from the back of the house but also from the front.

"Water seeps through the floors of the house, and even comes in directly from the street in front of the house."

4. Water Accumulated from the Kitchen to the Terrace

In the video, it can be seen that the water accumulation has filled various parts of the house. From the kitchen, the main room, to the front terrace, everything is affected by the flood.

Katon Bagaskara also showed the condition of the street in front of his house, which has been covered with water. He emphasized that this flood makes activities inside and outside the house difficult.

5. Request for Assistance from Local Officials

Katon Bagaskara also expressed hope to the local government for a prompt solution. He directly mentioned the Governor and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, as well as the Mayor of South Jakarta in his post.

"Mr. Governor of DKI @pramonoanungw, Mr. Deputy Governor @si.rano, and Mr. Mayor of Jaksel, please help create a solution so that this does not keep happening again," wrote Katon Bagaskara.
