Kevin Aprilio Reveals the Meaning Behind His First Daughter's Name Kimova Dasha Aprilio

Kapanlagi.com - Musician Kevin Aprilio has just welcomed the birth of his first daughter with Vicy Melanie. On October 5, 2024, at exactly 08:26 AM, Kimova Dasha Aprilio was born healthy.

Kevin also shared this happy news with the public. Kevin explained that his daughter was born weighing 3.2 kilograms and measuring 52 cm in length.

"Right now, Vicy is still breastfeeding at home, but she sends her regards. She was born weighing 3.2 kilos and her height is 52 cm," said Kevin Aprilio at Taman Anggrek, West Jakarta, Saturday (12/10/2024).

Then, Kevin also shared the story behind the name Kimova Dasha Aprilio, which was chosen together by him and Vicy. The name Dasha is taken from Russian, meaning 'God's gift.'

"The name came up together, Kimova doesn’t have a meaning, but it’s taken from the K and V, there’s Kevin and there’s Vicy," said Kevin.

2. Inherit Your Own Name

As for the last name Aprilio, Kevin casually mentioned that it is taken from his own name.

"Aprilio became the surname hahaha, from my name, actually born in October but it’s okay, just for the surname," said Kevin.

3. Caesarean Operation

The birth process of Kimova was carried out through a caesarean operation, which was also a joint decision between Kevin and Vicy. Kevin expressed that although he did not know the specific type of caesarean, what mattered most was the health of the mother and child.

"The process was caesarean, but I’m not sure which type, but it was caesarean. Within six hours she could already walk," he explained.

As a father who has just experienced this precious moment, Kevin also performed the adhan for his daughter. The atmosphere in the operating room at that time was very touching to him, especially since the doctor played beautiful yet emotionally charged piano music.

"Yes, I performed the adhan because I am a Muslim. The feeling in the operating room was truly one of a kind, and on top of that, my doctor played piano music, sad but beautiful," he said.

The moment was very touching for Kevin, even making him unable to hold back his tears. In addition, Kevin truly felt how extraordinary a woman's sacrifice is during childbirth, especially his wife who remained smiling even while undergoing major surgery.

"That's why I immediately broke down (cried). I mean, smiling and all. It was a touching sight that made us feel like for friends who are pregnant or for wives who are pregnant, it makes us feel like wow, our wives are the best," he concluded.
