Lawsuit Rejected, Ustaz Yusuf Mansur Wins Land Tube Case

Kapanlagi.com - The land tube investment case involving Ustaz Yusuf Mansur as the defendant has reached its final point. The Judge Panel of the Tangerang District Court stated in a verdict hearing held on Wednesday (22/6/2022), around 11:00 AM, that the plaintiff's lawsuit was rejected or Niet Ontvankelijke verklaard (NO).

"The result of the hearing, the plaintiff's lawsuit is declared NO, cannot be accepted on the grounds of lack of parties. The plaintiff should have involved other parties because it is not solely the responsibility of Ustaz Yusuf Mansur," said Ariel Mochtar, Yusuf Mansur's lawyer when contacted by Kapanlagi.com.

1. Currently Abroad

According to Ariel Mochtar, the verdict has been reported to Yusuf Mansur. However, he has not responded yet because he is currently abroad.

"I have informed him but he has not received it yet. Because as far as I know, he is currently in Yemen," said Ariel Mochtar.

The verdict hearing held today is a case registered with number 1366/Pdt.G/2021/PN Tng with plaintiffs Sri Sukarsi and Marsiti. For information, the case started when Ustaz, who is familiarly called UYM, gave a lecture in Hong Kong. UYM, in addition to lectures, also invited the congregation to invest in land funds.

Sri Sukarsi and Marsiti, who were attendees of the lecture, were interested in UYM's offer. After investing their money, Sri Sukarsi and Marsiti, who did not see clarity in the investment program, asked for their money back and UYM returned it in 2019. However, without the mercy money or profit sharing as promised.

3. File a Civil Lawsuit

As a result, both domestic workers demanded their rights by filing a civil lawsuit to the Tangerang District Court. In the lawsuit, both of them requested mercy money of 8 percent per month from the profits, which if totaled, each should be entitled to Rp 190 million and Rp 140 million.

"The mercy money is calculated from the time they put the money until they filed the lawsuit. If accumulated, we calculate one for Rp 190 million and the other for Rp 140 million. Because they gave the investment money at different times," said Asfa Davy Bia, the plaintiffs' legal counsel.
