"So Vidi is not removing it. Vidi is respecting because this process is ongoing. Rather than further claims that are not appropriate, it's better to withdraw it for now. Vidi respects, and we also respect, that is actually the reason," said Yakup Hasibuan in the Senayan Golf area recently.
The enormous value of the lawsuit has also drawn public attention. Yakup mentioned that the figure of Rp24 billion clearly surprised Vidi and his family.
"Well, that's one part that is unfounded. But again, the relationship has been good all this time, so for Vidi, it's quite surprising. It's a citizen's right, so it can't be obstructed," he said.
The legal representative does not see a need to move towards a restorative approach in this case. Yakup stated that the essence of the case must indeed be legally tested first.

"We don’t see it that way (restorative justice). Actually, is there a legal basis for the plaintiff to file this? And after we studied it, it is indeed unfounded, and from Vidi's side as well, which is not legal language perhaps," he stated.
Up to now, Vidi has not been able to provide his explanation directly due to his physical condition not being fully recovered. Yakup also asked the public to be patient until Vidi is ready to speak.
"We apologize that Vidi has not been fit enough to provide that. And we respect the existing decision. That’s why we haven’t been able to give many statements and so on until now," he explained.
