Living Alone at 60 Years Old, Henidar Amroe Lives with Her 5 Beloved Cats

Now, Henidar Amroe is already in her 60s. Yes, on April 11, 2022, this woman from West Java just celebrated her 60th birthday. Interestingly, at the age of 60, Henidar is still working and wants to achieve her dreams.

On the other hand, since separating from her ex-husband in 2013, Henidar Amroe has decided to live alone with her beloved cats. She revealed that she has been keeping cats for 5 years.

1. Likes Animals

In her confession, Henidar Amroe has indeed liked animals since she was a child. So, having 5 pet cats at home has become a common thing for her.

"If we like animals since childhood, it's natural. When I was a child, I had a monkey, a dog, a chicken, a turtle, a fish. So, until adulthood, I'm used to having pets," said Henidar Amroe when met at her residence in Depok, West Java, on Friday (20/5).

2. Reasons for Owning Cats

Henidar Amroe apparently has her own reasons for choosing to own cats. Not only has she been familiar with animals since childhood, but owning cats is a suggestion from her spiritual teacher.

"I actually have these cats because my meditation teacher told me to. So he said if you live alone too much and have a career, your heart will freeze, stiffen. Because only your brain is used but your soul's feelings are not used or honed," she said.

"So you adopt a child or own a pet. The best pet is a dog or a cat. Because I'm not allowed to own a dog, I own a cat. If it's a child, the responsibility is heavy," she added.

3. Everyday Companions

She continued, having 5 cats in her home does not make her lonely. These five cats, named Caco, Kendal, Nala, Simba, and Princess, are her everyday companions while at home.

"Of course, they are great companions. It's busy taking care of them, not just leaving them alone. We have to pay attention if they're sick, if they don't want to eat, take them to the salon, to the doctor, get them vaccinated, give them vitamins, clean their litter box. Sometimes they ask to sleep together. When I come home late, they come to me back and forth. So, if I want to sleep, I ask to be accompanied like a child. His name is Simba," she concluded.
