Actress Aurelie Moeremans, who now resides in the United States with her husband, Tyler Bigenho, has spoken out about the situation in her homeland. Despite being far from Indonesia, Aurelie admits to keeping up with the news developments that have occurred recently.

According to Aurelie, the situation in Indonesia right now makes her feel concerned. She cannot turn a blind eye to the chaos that is happening, especially that which is triggered by officials and the government.

"It feels frustrating, upsetting, and sad for sure," said Aurelie Moeremans when contacted by reporters on Tuesday (2/9/2025).

He revealed that news about Indonesia still reaches his current residence. Even his friends in America often ask about the situation in Jakarta.

"Yes, the news reaches here. Friends often ask, 'Is it really chaotic in Jakarta, why is it so bad?' Then I try to explain," said Aurelie.

Aurelie then mentioned her experience in 2016, when she received an offer to enter the political world. At that time, she was offered to join a party with a fantastic reward.

According to her confession, the payment offered reached hundreds of millions of rupiah per month. Her task was only to accompany the party chairman in several activities, and occasionally she was asked to make public statements.

Even so, Aurelie admits she is not interested at all. For her, politics is not a field she masters, so she prefers to decline the offer."I have never been interested in politics and when I was invited, I thought about why, I also don't understand and I'm not interested, it's more about being self-aware that I'm just not competent," she explained.

Instead of becoming more interested, the explanation about her role actually made Aurelie even more certain to decline. She feels that her presence would only be used as a complement without any real contribution."And once it was explained what my role would be, I actually wanted to back out even more, I would just be part of the cheerleading team," said Aurelie.
