Luna Maya and Maxime Bouttier Reveal Why They Are Confident About Getting Married, Mention Their Wedding Was Accelerated

When met in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (17/5/2025), Luna and Maxime shared the reasons why they finally decided to get married after being in a long-term relationship.

"Honestly, the reason we decided to get married, I feel like I am the right man, yeah I just feel right. That's it, I don't know a deeper answer than that. You know it's right, it's right," said Maxime.

Luna also expressed a similar sentiment. "Honestly, that's an easy question, but hard to answer. I’m sure many couples, when asked that, are also confused about why they decided to marry Maxime," she said.

1. Accelerated Marriage

Although they initially planned to get married in September, they ultimately chose May due to Luna's busy work schedule. "That's why the wedding is very impulsive, right? Oh, May is coming up, we need to find a venue. We were originally planning for September," Luna revealed.

Maxime also admitted that they are quite a spontaneous couple when it comes to making big decisions. "We are indeed quite spontaneous and impulsive," he said.

2. Reception That Captivated Public Attention

The wedding plans were prepared in a fairly short time, only two months. Luna even confessed that the initial concept was not meant to be a grand event. "Actually, the initial idea wasn’t grand; we wanted it to be simple. Intimate, you know, just 200 people invited," she said.

Nonetheless, their reception still captured public and media attention. In fact, according to Luna, some even went to Maxime's school to interview his former teacher. "Someone went to my school, I was really shocked, they interviewed my teacher. Wow, my high school teacher was interviewed, that was amazing," Maxime shared.

The virality of their marriage was indeed unexpected. Luna admitted she did not anticipate the news about her marriage would be this big. "Honestly, if it went viral a little, I might have expected it, because it was highly anticipated. But for it to be this big, I did not expect it," she said.
