Maia Estianty Gives Reasons for Disagreeing with Al El Dul's Joint Marriage, Turns Out to Have Personal Experience

Musician Ahmad Dhani once joked that he wanted Al Ghazali, El Rumi, and Dul Jaelani to be able to marry at the same time, just like when they had their circumcision as children. Unfortunately, this was opposed by his ex-wife, Maia Estianty.

It is known that Al Ghazali has rekindled his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Alyssa Daguise. Meanwhile, El Rumi is with Syifa Hadju and Dul Jaelani has been dating Tissa Biani since 2020.

"If all three were to do it together, it would feel strange, because there are three families that can't be merged into one," he said when met in the Kuningan area of South Jakarta recently.

Nevertheless, this 48-year-old woman will not hinder her three children if they wish to get married at the same time. Of course, because Ahmad Dhani provides support, Maia said that her ex-husband should bear the costs.

"The father should pay for it. But if they want to get married together, then go ahead," continued the wife of Irwan Mussry.

The woman from Surabaya, East Java, apparently has her own experience when marrying at the same time as her sibling. She just doesn’t want her children to go through the same thing, failing in their marital life.

"Even though, mythologically, I have experienced that I got married together with my sister and both of us divorced in the same year," she revealed.

Maia admitted that she indeed wants to hold her grandchildren from her three children soon. However, she never forces it if it's not yet time for her children to get married.

"No, no. Because for me, marriage is God's timing, not my timing. It's pointless if we force the children. If it's not the right time," she explained.

Looking at the readiness of her three sons, Maia mentioned that her eldest son, Al Ghazali, is already ready in terms of age. However, if El or Dul gets married first, Maia has no problem with that.

"As for who gets married first, I don't know. In terms of age, Al-Ghazali should go first. But we don't know. If tomorrow El Rumi is ready to marry, go ahead. Or if Dul Jaelani says, I’m ready to marry tomorrow. Yes, go ahead," she concluded.
