Maia Estianty Remembers the Moment of Handing Over the Children to Ahmad Dhani in the Past

1. Losing Custody Battle

Maia then recalled how she had to lose her children to Ahmad Dhani. It cannot be denied that that moment was the turning point for this woman from Surabaya.

"For example, when I lost my children, Al El Dul, due to divorce and custody battle. Even though I won custody that day, but because I didn't want to fight back and forth, it was better for me to give in and step back. Giving in doesn't mean losing, but someday I will win," Maia reminisced.

2. Feeling like the Children are not Hers

According to Maia, the key to sincerity is not being attached to everything in the world. Because she believes that God has arranged everything fairly in their own time.

"So, I became sincere because I knew that these children are not mine, but God's. So I said, 'Oh Allah, I surrender these 3 children to you because they are not mine'. And finally, I turned around, left them, left the house, it didn't matter if I couldn't meet them. They belong to God, why should I worry? Eventually, God will return them to me," she concluded.
