Make President Jokowi as a Witness of Marriage, Atta and Aurel Initially Thought He Wouldn't Come

Kapanlagi.com - Atta Halilintar and Aurel Hermansyah have officially become husband and wife. They have just completed the marriage ceremony at the Raffles Hotel in the Kuningan area of South Jakarta on Saturday afternoon (3/4/2021).

During the ceremony, Atta chose President Joko Widodo as the witness of the marriage. Meanwhile, Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto became the witness from Aurel's side.

1. Thought it wouldn't come

To the media, Atta Halilintar explained the process of inviting President Joko Widodo as a witness. He revealed that he had sent an official letter to the State Palace after the engagement. The answer was received two days before the wedding ceremony.

"After the engagement, we sent a letter to Mr. Jokowi to become a witness and he replied close to the day. Alhamdulillah, it could be realized. I am very happy to be witnessed by Mr. Jokowi. At first, we were unsure if it would happen or not," said Aurel in a press conference after the wedding ceremony.

2. The presence of Mrs. Iriana Widodo

Atta Halilintar and Aurel Hermansyah were even happier because Mrs. Iriana also attended to accompany President Joko Widodo. Making their happy day even more complete.

"Getting a bonus with Mrs. Iriana, I am even happier. Today is a complete day, from the process to becoming husband and wife. I never imagined this would finally happen. I mean, the process was a bit rushed. Alhamdulillah, everything went smoothly and everything was good, happy," Atta said.
