Ashanty feels very proud to see Arsya, her youngest son, selected as one of the companions of the Garuda National Team in the 2026 World Cup qualification match against the Iraqi National Team.

This decision made her very happy, although she was nervous waiting for news through WhatsApp messages.

"Alhamdulillah, Arsya became a companion of Garuda. We were also nervous because there was no news on WhatsApp," said Ashanty in the Pondok Indah area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (5/6/2024).

Tight selection process must be passed to become a companion of the Garuda National Team, and Ashanty is grateful because Arsya meets all the specified requirements.

"Apparently there is a process. So register first, email and so on. Alhamdulillah, Arsya was accepted as a companion to Garuda," said Ashanty.

"Quite good, because I felt like Arshi didn't make it. Arsya likes playing football and he joined a football club. Height and all the requirements are okay," Ashanty continued.

Ashanty also plans to accompany Arsya while serving as a companion to the Garuda National Team, while watching the players' actions in the match.

"I'll take you there. I watched them play. I'm so proud to see Indonesia's football progress," said Ashanty.

The Indonesian national team will play two closing matches in the second round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in Asia Zone Group F against Iraq and the Philippines at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta. Indonesia only needs one victory from these two matches to advance to the third round and get closer to the 2026 World Cup.
