Kapanlagi.com - Unpleasant incident just happened to Venna Melinda's daughter named Vania Athabina. About two weeks ago, her eyes swelled after being hit by fragments of black rubber that were thrown by her friend.

The incident took place at ten in the morning in the school environment. Initially, Vania revealed that she was hit by an object that was suspected to be dust. The school authorities knew about it but did not consider it to be something serious.

"The incident happened two weeks ago when Vania was playing sports with her friend, joking or something, and accidentally her eyes were hit by black rubber fragments that she thought were dust. When I picked up Vania, the teacher said she got dust in her eyes. I thought it was just dust, so I took her to ballet class," said Venna, when met in the Kapten Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (3/10).

After ballet, Vania Athabina was immediately taken to a temporary home while Venna Melinda went elsewhere. When Venna returned home that night, she was shocked to find her daughter's swollen eyes.

"When I came home at half past seven, I was surprised to see her eyes swollen and in pain. How could I not panic, especially when Vania said, 'I feel like I can't see'" Venna imitated her daughter's words at that time.

2. There is Trauma in the Eyes

Venna Melinda immediately took Vania Athabina to the Emergency Unit to receive initial treatment. However, since the eye specialist had already left, the examination was postponed until the next day.

"Vania was then taken to the hospital and when in the Emergency Unit, nothing could be done because it was not an eye specialist. Finally, she was only given eye drops. I couldn't sleep all night looking at the swelling until the next day when she was given antibiotic eye drops and vitamin A. The swelling subsided within a few hours. After checking, it turned out there was trauma to the eye," explained Venna.
