Makki Ungu Explores Seven Mountains for One Month

Kapanlagi.com - Bassist of the band Ungu, Makki Omar Parikesit or better known as Makki, embarked on an expedition to explore seven mountains in Java and Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) in December 2021. The expedition carried out by Makki is called Parikesit 7 Saga.

The seven mountains to be climbed are Ciremai, Sindoro, Sumbing, Lawu, Arjuno, Welirang, and finally Rinjani. The series of activities will take place from December 1 to 30, 2021. During his journey, Makki will use big motorcycles, namely Ducati MultiStrada 950 and Scrambler Ducati Sixty2.

"The main purpose of this small journey is to pass through seven mountains, where each of them will be climbed starting from Cermai to Rinjani in Lombok. Along the way, we will create reader corners at the climbing locations," said Makki in Antasari, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (12/1/2021).

1. Preparations Have Been Made During the Journey

Various preparations have been made by Makki during the journey and also the climb. Not only physically, but he has also prepared mentally and other preparations he has made during his journey.

"Preparations such as tracking Sentul and its surroundings and climbing Mount Gede, Mount Pangrango, Mount Cikuray, and Mount Burangrang," he said.

2. Will Not Walk Alone

Makki is well aware that the weather has been unpredictable for the past few months, especially in West Java. In this Parikesit 7 Saga Expedition, Makki will not walk alone because he will be accompanied by a climbing team and his adventure sport bike team.

"It's not us who choose December, but December chooses us, I want it this year. Extreme rain, for sure. But the main priority is to be safe and comfortable first. We have to be friends with the rain," he said.

3. So Hidden Desire

The journey also became his hidden desire for 25 years already involved in the music industry of the homeland.

"In the past, as a musician, I have traveled around Indonesia and several countries in the world for 25 years, but I haven't had the opportunity to explore the regions I visited in depth," said Makki quoted from suara.com

4. Music Performances

Not only sightseeing, this expedition also includes music performances. Makki will collaborate with several local musicians in Argamukti Village, Kledung Village, Butuh Hamlet, and Sembalun Village.

"It will definitely be tiring. Just enjoy it. Not singing seriously like being in a band. Just talk to the local residents," said Makki.
