Married to Deva Mahenra, Mikha Tambayong Wears the Same Wedding Dress as Her Parents' Wedding

Deva and Mikha shared their happy moments on their respective Instagram accounts. Many netizens were surprised to hear the news of Deva marrying Mikha Tambayong. Moreover, they have never shared their moments together on social media.

1. Famous Designer Dress

However, Deva and Mikha's wedding has been planned for a long time. In fact, they have prepared their wedding dress since October 2022. It is known that Deva and Mikha wore a dress designed by a famous designer, Stephen Wongso from Wong Hang Tailor.

"The initial discussion was around September for the wedding suit and we started taking measurements around October 2022. Deva and Mikha came to Wong Hang showroom in Pondok Indah around October 2022. They came together," said Stephen Wongso, to the journalists, on Saturday (29/1/2023).

2. Dresses and Suits Like Their Parents Did

On this occasion, Deva and Mikha actually have a special request regarding the dress they wear at their wedding. Both of them want to wear dresses and suits like the ones Mikha's parents wore when they got married.

"They have a unique concept because they want to copy-paste the concept of Papa Mikha's wedding (a concept from 25 years ago). So the challenge is to find the same color and model details, but it should not look old-fashioned," he said.

"So we even brought Papa Mikha's suit to make sure the colors match perfectly, and we searched for fresh designs and ideas," he added.

3. Designing Dresses According to Weather Conditions

At least, Stephen Wongso uses two different materials for morning and evening events. What's clear is that he also designs dresses that are suitable for the weather conditions in Bali.

"There are two sets ordered for Deva and two sets for the parents. The request is that they should look the most handsome and stylish on the big day so that no one can compete," he said.

"The material we use for the morning event is pure wool with lycra, which is already 98% similar in color to Papa Mikha's suit. For the evening event, we use pure linen with a soft beige color and a simple vest. Considering the event in Bali, if it's too hot, the suit can be opened and only the blazer can be worn," Stephen Wongso concluded.
