Toto Soegriwo claims he is not bothered by the negative spotlight from netizens. In a statement on his post on Saturday (09/08), he mentioned that netizens also gain a lot of benefits from the spotlight on the film MERAH PUTIH ONE FOR ALL.

Toto also showed a screenshot of accounts that criticized his film in a post on Sunday (10/08). He stated that the haters are individuals who are afraid to show their true selves.

This film is often compared to JUMBO because both are animated films. As is known, JUMBO holds the title of the highest-grossing Indonesian film of all time.

In response to this, Angga Dwimas Sasongko, the founder of Visinema Pictures which produced the film JUMBO, stated that he does not want to get caught up in the debate. He has a positive belief about animated films in Indonesia.

"The spirit of Indonesian animators. This is not 'A drop of ink spoils a whole pot of milk'. Keep creating with heart and the belief that Indonesian animation will continue to develop well," said Angga as quoted from the Instagram account @folkative.

Meanwhile, Ryan Adriandhy also spoke out regarding the viral film MERAH PUTIH ONE FOR ALL. Through his X account, the writer & director of JUMBO chose not to comment much.

Through a tweet on Sunday (10/08), Ryan acknowledged that he read several mentions from netizens wanting his response regarding MERAH PUTIH ONE FOR ALL. Ryan is more focused on other better things.

The story of MERAH PUTIH ONE FOR ALL centers around a group of children who are part of the Red and White Team, a group tasked with guarding the heirloom flag that will be flown during the independence ceremony. This mission becomes the core of the story that unites the diverse backgrounds of each character, reflecting the diversity of the Indonesian nation.

The conflict begins when the heirloom flag mysteriously goes missing three days before the independence ceremony. Eight children from various regions must unite to search for and return it. Their journey is not easy, involving natural obstacles such as rushing rivers, dense forests, storms, and personal challenges in the form of differing opinions and the egos of each member.
