And because you are an artist, you must have a longing if you don't make something that is not from yourself.' And I remember his words," said Mia when asked why she decided to release this solo single.
According to Mia, this song is about a strong woman or Alpha Female, who feels disturbed by the presence of a new man in her life. It makes her unable to stop thinking about the man.
"If you look at the lyrics in the chorus, it seems that the woman wants to trap the man because she is afraid of losing him, but actually she is the one who is trapped. She actually falls in love but denies her feelings. So this song is a portrayal of a modern woman, mature, brave, independent but with high pride," explained Mia.
Having many experiences in the music world, makes Mia Ismi not have difficulty in the process of making the song Terjerat.
Even in her debut work, Mia poured all her abilities. Not only writing lyrics, Mia also acted as a music arranger, vocal arranger and String Arranger.
"This pandemic teaches us how much we long to create. What used to be hectic, suddenly we are taught by God to be patient. But it makes us have a lot of time to fantasize for ourselves. I immediately thought, what do I want, what haven't I done," she said.
