Ria Ricis revealed her desire to adopt a boy. The former wife of Teuku Ryan admitted that this decision came about because of her daughter, Moana, who has started asking for a little brother. As a mother, Ricis feels the need to provide a playmate for her child. Read more below!
"Yes, I really wanted a boy before, and I feel like she's old enough to have a playmate," said Ria Ricis in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Saturday (7/12/2024).
He also added that there have been many offers from various parties, ranging from clinics to hospitals, to assist in this adoption process.
"So I really want to adopt a boy. Yesterday there were already many offers, from clinics, from hospitals, from individuals, and there are also some personal offers, but we are still choosing," he said.
Ricis's desire to adopt this child has also been carefully planned. He revealed that this has become a priority after seeing Moana often express her wishes.
"Pray for us. Because she (Moana) has been asking for a younger sibling, every time she meets her friends, 'Mommy Moana wants a baby' she always says that. So it's also tough if we wait for pregnancy, we don’t know when, so let’s just adopt," he said.
However, this adoption process is not done carelessly. Ricis mentioned that the clinic and hospital are still conducting quite strict screening.
Even so, Ricis cannot confirm when this process will be completed. She admitted that she is still waiting for results from the relevant parties before she can bring a boy into her family.
"Well, we don't know yet because the clinic and hospital are still screening as well since it cannot be done carelessly," said the 29-year-old artist.
