Husband of Mpok Alpa Keeps the Deceased's Items as Memories for the Children

In the midst of the lingering grief, Adji Darmaji, the husband of the late Mpok Alpa, has to make difficult decisions for the future of his children. One of the most touching plans is regarding the personal belongings left by his wife, which he will keep as a bridge of memories for their beloved children.

Moreover, this noble plan is dedicated to his twin sons, Raffi Ahmad Darmadina and Raffa Ahmad Darmadina. Born on October 7, 2024, the twins, who are not yet a year old, certainly do not have a complete memory of their mother. That is why, Bang Idung, as he is fondly called, will keep some of the late one's belongings as a testament of love for the future.

"Yes, there are some items that will be donated later. Some will be kept, like that. So it's for the memories of the kids, Rafa and Rafi, the twins who haven't really known their mother yet, because they are still 8 months old," said Adji Darmaji when met at his residence in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, Thursday (21/8/2025).

"Later we will introduce these heirlooms, like, 'This is what your late parent fought for you,' like that. So we will introduce them later," Adji added.

Although the pain he feels is still too deep, Adji is confident that one day he will be strong enough to do it for the children.

"Not yet. I haven't seen anything from those items, in fact, I told them to cover this up, cover the boxes so I won't see them, like that," he explained.

Even though it is very heavy, his determination to raise the children, including ensuring that Raffi and Raffa will know their mother's figure, gives him strength.

"Not strong yet, but someday I will definitely be strong, I will definitely be strong, like that," he said, admitting that he himself does not yet have the strength to see or touch the belongings of the deceased.

He also is not yet able to look at the photos of his late wife displayed in the house. For him, every corner of the house still holds memories that are too strong.
