Nafa Urbach Criticizes Current Soap Operas, Suggests Airing Once a Week

Kapanlagi.com - Recently, through her Instagram Story, Nafa Urbach openly discussed the electronic cinema industry or soap operas in the country. According to her, without any new breakthroughs, these shows might be abandoned.

It's not without reason, as based on comments from netizens, many admit to starting to abandon soap operas and switch to South Korean dramas. Some reasons revealed are repetitive storylines and mediocre production values due to rushed airing.

"You see, sometimes they are rushed because of scheduling. After scheduling, they create complicated stories, for example, a collision scene can't be done randomly. But because of production budget, it turns out to be extremely bad. That's what makes our viewers slowly, little by little, start watching streaming services," said Nafa when contacted by phone.

1. Better in the Past

Nafa Urbach in the 90s was known as a popular soap opera actress. According to her, the quality of soap operas back then was much better than now. This is likely because filming was not rushed and they only aired once a week, so every aspect was well-maintained.

"In the past, my soap operas were cool, the stories were good. Sorry, but today's soap operas lose. Maybe because they air weekly," said this mother of one.

2. Airing Per Season

To regain the interest of television viewers, as an observer, Nafa suggests improving the story and production values. If possible, it wouldn't hurt to air three or one episode per week to maintain quality.

"I think there shouldn't be too many episodes, just make it per season, for example, one season with 50 episodes is okay. The quality will be maintained. If airing once a week takes too long, then three episodes per week," said the actress of several popular soap operas like "Deru Debu" and "Kehormatan."
