Kapanlagi.com - The tragic murder case involving actor Sandy Permana has finally found a breakthrough. The perpetrator, Nanang Gimbal, was successfully captured by a joint team from the Metro Jaya Police in a food stall in Karawang, West Java. The arrest was made without resistance on Wednesday (15/1/2025) around 10:45 AM WIB.
The Director of General Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Wira Satya Triputra, explained the chronology of the suspect's arrest when met at the Metro Jaya Police in South Jakarta on Thursday (16/1/2025). According to him, the arrest was made after intensive investigation based on reports received by the police.
“Based on report LP/01/1/2025/Cibarusah Police Station/Metro Bekasi Police/Metro Jaya Police dated January 12, 2025, the joint team conducted an investigation to uncover the case and found the suspect,” said Kombes Pol Wira Satya.

He continued that the team took various investigative steps, such as processing the crime scene (TKP), observing witnesses, and tracing CCTV recordings along the route taken by the perpetrator. From the analysis results, the identity of the perpetrator was successfully identified.
“The suspect was successfully apprehended at a stall in Dusun Poris, Desa Kutamukti, Kecamatan Kutawaluya, Kabupaten Karawang, West Java. At the time of the arrest, the perpetrator was eating toast and did not resist. At that moment, he was alone in the stall,” he added.
After the arrest, Nanang Gimbal was immediately taken to the Subdit Resmob Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya for further investigation. Until now, the motive and details of the criminal actions he committed are still being investigated by the authorities.

It is known that the murder of Sandy Permana occurred on January 12, 2025, in the Cibarusah area, Bekasi. Sandy was found dead with multiple stab wounds. Initial suspicions suggest that this murder was motivated by a long-standing grudge between the victim and the perpetrator.

The maximum penalty that can be imposed on the perpetrator is 15 years in prison for Article 338 and 10 years in prison for Article 354 paragraph (2).
“The charges are under Article 338 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 354 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code. The potential penalties are a maximum of 15 years and 10 years in prison, respectively,” said Kombes Pol Wira Satya.
