After pursuing for several days, the police finally succeeded in capturing Nanang Gimbal, who is suspected of being the perpetrator of the murder of Sandy Permana. To the police, Nanang revealed the motive behind his heinous act against the star actor of the MISTERI GUNUNG MERAPI series.

With his head bowed, Nanang revealed that his heartache towards Sandy had begun since 2019. The climax occurred at a recent neighborhood meeting, where Nanang admitted he could not accept being spat on by Sandy, which then made him lose control.

The police finally arrested Nanang Gimbal, who is suspected of being the perpetrator of the murder of Sandy Permana, the star actor of MISTERI GUNUNG MERAPI. Nanang was arrested after fleeing for several days from the police pursuit.

With his head bowed, Nanang attended the press conference held at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters today, Thursday (16/1). He revealed the reason why he committed that heinous murder against Sandy.

Nanang stated that his heartache towards Sandy began in 2019. At that time, Sandy set up a tent and cut down trees in his yard to hold an event without permission.

For years as neighbors, Sandy and Nanang apparently did not greet each other. The problem then escalated at the neighborhood meeting held in January 2025.

The conflict between Nanang and Sandy peaked at the neighborhood meeting, and Nanang's emotions grew even hotter when Sandy walked in front of his house. He suspected Sandy spat at him and looked at Nanang with a sneer, which made the perpetrator's emotions boil over.

"The suspect took a knife from the chicken coop next to his house, chased the victim, and injured the victim who was still on the motorcycle. The suspect stabbed the victim in the stomach twice, then attacked the victim's temple, head, chest, and neck," said Kombes Wira.

Sandy tried to fight back but unfortunately his life could not be saved. Nanang then fled and even shaved his dreadlocks to eliminate traces.
