Ndhank Ex Stinky Before Passing, Wanted to Release New Band with Former Zigas Vocalist

Before passing away on Saturday (18/4/2026), this former guitarist of Stinky was apparently very enthusiastic about working on his new band project. This project became his main focus in the last few months before his health condition deteriorated.

According to his twin, Edo Surahim, their last communication still discussed the late musician's career. Ndhank was building a band called Note n Sound. He collaborated with Zoker, the former vocalist of Zigas, and guitarist Orange Ryan for this project.

"What was the last communication? We talked about his new band project Note n Sound with former Zigas vocalist (Zoker) and guitarist Orange Ryan," said Edo Surahim when contacted by the media on Sunday (19/4/2026).

1. Great Hopes of the Late

Ndhank placed great hopes on his new band to manifest his existence once again in the music industry. He wants to be productive again after being known for a long time as part of Stinky's success in the past. This Note n Sound project is planned to be a new chapter in his career journey.

Edo recounted how enthusiastic Ndhank was for the band to soon greet Indonesian music listeners. The late artist hoped that Note n Sound could become a successful new vehicle in today’s music market. He had expressed this desire several times to his brother before falling ill.

"That was his hope for the new band to succeed," said Edo regarding the late artist's last hopes.

3. The Project Has Progress

Technically, the project has actually shown quite significant progress. Ndhank and his bandmates have completed the recording process. They have also established communication with one of the major music labels in Indonesia so that the work can be distributed widely.

Unfortunately, until the end, Ndhank was still waiting for confirmation from the label. There has been no official news regarding when their debut single will be released to the market. This means that Ndhank's last work remains stored and has not yet been heard by the general public.

"We have recorded, but we are waiting for confirmation from one of the major labels... there’s still no news," said Edo when asked about the status of Note n Sound's work.

Until now, Note n Sound has not had the opportunity to officially release a single. This is a particular sorrow considering that Ndhank was the brain behind many of Stinky's phenomenal hit songs since 1992. This project he was proud of had to be halted due to his deteriorating health.

The creator of these phenomenal songs has now rested peacefully at an age that still held many dreams. The musician who once elevated Andre Taulany's name will be buried in Manado. Although the Note n Sound project has not been released, Ndhank's dedication to Indonesian music will always be valued highly.
