Nearly 30 Years of Marriage, Dewi Gita Reveals that Armand Maulana Cheated on Her: I Forgot to Take Care of Him

The secret of the household was revealed through a podcast with Ashanty. Dewi Gita started talking about the affair through a song created by Armand Maulana in the year 2000.

"In the year 2000, I released my album, Kegaiban Biru, all the songs were created by Armand. He also wrote the lyrics," said Dewi Gita, as quoted from YouTube NGOBROL ASIX.

Dewi Gita then explained that there is a verse in the lyrics of the song related to their marriage. This made her upset and she said that Armand Maulana had cheated on her.

"In there, there is 'Maafkan Aku Mendua, Kau Jauh', for those who are far away from him. I sang it but it's not about me. I only realized it later, like 'Huh? This is crazy'," said Dewi Gita while laughing.

Dewi Gita finally realized that through the song, Armand Maulana was 'admitting' his affair with another woman while apologizing to her.

Amazingly, the 53-year-old woman did not blame Armand Maulana. She chose to introspect herself instead.

Dewi Gita suspected that Armand Maulana's affair started from his attitude at the beginning of their marriage. The woman from Bandung admitted that she had a high ego due to being at the peak of her career.

The shaky condition of their marriage is also believed to be caused by Armand Maulana and Dewi Gita not having children for the first eight years of their marriage.

On the other hand, Dewi Gita felt there was a wisdom in the affair. The event that made her confused apparently made her realize her duty as a wife.

"So I forgot to take care of him. Then eight years passed without having children, so I felt like a virgin, like I didn't have anyone to take care of. I felt that was also my mistake," she continued.

However, at the end of the conversation, Dewi Gita mentioned that she does not justify Armand Maulana's affair. Fortunately, the issue has been overcome and their marriage has lasted until nearing January 11, which is their 30th anniversary.
