Netizens Body Shame Because of Playing 'CINTA FITRI', Tissa Biani Reveals Frustration

Kapanlagi.com - Tissa Biani is trusted to portray the character of Fitri in the series CINTA FITRI. As is known, this series by Anggy Umbara is a remake of the successful soap opera of the same name that featured Shireen Sungkar and Teuku Wisnu.

As expected, Tissa's selection led to comparisons with Shireen. However, she doesn't really mind it because what's most important is to show the best acting performance.

"The issue of netizens comparing, well, I can't force them to say it's better. For me, what's important is that I do it sincerely, wholeheartedly. And as long as my intentions are good, there won't be any problems," said Tissa when met at MD Place, Setiabudi area, South Jakarta, Monday (4/10/2021).

Furthermore, Tissa explained that there was a point where she felt that netizens had gone too far by commenting on her petite physique. This prompted her to speak out on Instagram Story some time ago.

"Many people body shame. As a girl, who wouldn't be annoyed by body shaming. Since I was little, in the entertainment world, there's no such thing as acting that requires being beautiful, thin, or anything like that. As actors, we play with emotions and feelings," said Dul Jaelani's girlfriend.

1. Nervous Asked to Recycle Rossa's Song

Not only playing the iconic character Fitri, Tissa Biani is also trusted to perform the soundtrack of the series CINTA FITRI. The song sung is a recycle of Rossa's song that used to accompany the soap opera.

Before singing, Tissa admitted that she lacked confidence because her vocal range was different from the original song. However, after the arrangement was changed and she practiced, she was able to perform the song titled Atas Nama Cinta.

"When asked to sing Teh Ocha's song, I asked for permission from her, it's like asking for her blessing. Our vocal ranges are different, so I have to adjust, luckily I was asked not to imitate Teh Ocha. Honestly, I was nervous because singing is not my forte. Alhamdulillah, Teh Ocha really likes the result," said Tissa.

The series CINTA FITRI itself airs starting from October 5, 2021, every Monday to Thursday at 18.00 WIB on the WeTV streaming service. In addition to Tissa, this series also stars Rizky Nazar, Omar Daniel, Josephine Firmstone, Lidya Kandou, and Gemi Nastiti.
